Bridgerton fans descended into a frenzy as on-screen lovebirds Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton reunited for a nostalgic trip to Galway on Thursday.
In a clip posted to Netflix‘s social media, the pair travelled to Nicola’s hometown in Ireland to soak up the sights, before reflecting on their time on the show.
During the clip, Nicola, who played Lady Whistledown scribe Penelope Featherington and Luke, who played Colin Bridgerton, looked back at their three-season stint on the show.
Nicola fought back tears as she bid farewell to her season as the focal character of the series, with another Bridgerton romance set to take centre stage in season four.
The clip began with Nicola showing Luke the stunning Galway landscape, with the actor saying: ‘The people have really welcomed me, I don’t know what I expected honestly.’

The pair headed into a cinema where they rewatched scenes during their time on the show, including the first season where viewers saw earliest stages of Penelope and Colin’s friendship.
Looking at her characters’ garish sense of style, Nicola said: ‘We look like babies. I loved that dress it was so cute.’
After enjoying moments including the show’s first ball, and the final moments of season one, where Penelope came dangerously close to admitting her feelings for Colin.
Bridgerton’s third season, which has been branded the show’s raciest season yet, saw Colin and Penelope finally cement their romance, with Luke and Nicola looking back at their character’s first kiss.
Asked about the message fans should take away from their relationship, Luke said: ‘There’s a message to it of discovering who you are but also you don’t have to do it on your own, someone can help you.;
Nicola added: ‘It’s life-changing, it’s going to have an impact on our lives forever, when we’re old and grey.’
Luke and Nicola then headed to a pub where they enjoyed a pint of Guinness together, with the Derry Girls star revealing she landed her role as Penelope after just one audition.
She added: ‘Every screening we’ve gone across the world it’s a real pinch me moment.’

Fighting back tears, she told Luke: ‘You’ve been so great at it, and I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else … and I am SO tired.’
The duo have been touring the globe to promote Bridgerton’s third series, where Colin and Penelope’s romance took centre stage.
And fans were quick to share their delight at the unexpected reunion, with one admitting it left them ‘in tears.’
Posts included: ‘Ya’ll just keep stabbing me in the heart. Ughh the waterworks came on with the first dance scene. And that first kiss song… it evokes all the emotions and it will always trigger me. I know they miss each other after going through all this – like who wouldn’t miss Nic or Luke?’
‘That was the most beautiful video. Thank you so much for this. I will never stop being the thankful that Luke and Nic are our Polin;’
‘Did not expect to be crying this much at 9am on a Thursday morning, but here we are;’
‘Them talking about their life when they old and grey while watching each other kiss as #polin on screen… uhm lukola you serious.’
Earlier this month, Nicola revealed a more behind the scenes secrets after her and Luke’s characters enjoyed their first, very explicit, sex scene.
She thanked fans for watching and revealing a hilarious detail about the dropping six minute scene.

She shared a snap of the chaise lounge where the pair filmed before revealing that she and Luke managed to break the piece of furniture with their antics.
‘Part Two is out now, we put our heart and souls into it, hope you love watching it as much as we loved filming it ❤️ #PolinForever,’ she captioned the photos. The behind the scenes Insta snaps showed Nicola and Luke giving the camera a thumbs up as they posed with the damaged chaise lounge.
The hilarious post was met with an outpouring of comments from fans of ‘Polin’ – the couple name given to Penelope and Colin.
Nicola’s close friend, Queer Eye star Jonathan van Ness commented with laughing face emojis while another fan quipped: ‘We can all say that scene broke us’.
Nicola previously revealed: ‘I think we’ve won the sauciness for this series!’ as she teased that she and Luke had damaged the set with their onscreen romps.
Telling Entertainment Weekly: ‘We did break a piece of furniture while doing one scene. It’s a little bit like a stunt in which they’re like, ‘Okay, we’re gonna do this, this, and this.
‘But then they gave us freedom and we had a lot of say in how we did those scenes and what we wanted to do. That makes you feel quite empowered.
‘So we felt super. They were actually really enjoyable. I didn’t think they would be. It was fun.’
While Nicola previously revealed this installment was set to be saucier than ever, viewers were made to wait until the closing moments of part one for the central love story to really kick off as things got steamy between the couple in the carriage.
However, now that the pair have finally declared their love, it seems there was no holding the young lovebirds back as they threw themselves into passionate scenes.

I only turned away for a moment: According to the initial timeline, only about three minutes would have been enough for Nyla May Bradshaw to leave the backyard. The distance from the back door of the house to the golf course lake is only 176 meters. But the search team says they found two small footprints in the mud about two meters from the water’s edge. That small detail is leading many to believe that the little girl’s final moments may have happened much faster than everyone thought
