Wednesday Season 2 Reveals Augustus Stonehearst Was Nevermore’s First Normie Teacher, Not Marilyn Thornhill

Wednesday season 2, part 1, introduces some fascinating lore to the world of Netflix’s Addams Family reboot with the character Augustus Stonehearst. Augustus was the director of the Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital long before Dr. Rachel Fairburn took over, and he became one of the facility’s patients.

However, even before Stonehearst was working on the L.O.I.S. project, he was a science teacher at Nevermore Academy. As a normie, his time with the outcasts was spent obsessing over them and being frustrated with his lack of powers, leading him to begin experimenting on human beings, including his daughter Judi.

Previously, we were led to believe that Marilyn Thornhill was Nevermore’s first normie teacher. This is what Larissa Weems said in season 1, although she evidently had motivations of her own.
