Following its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, A House of Dynamite, starring Rebecca Fetugson and Idris Elba, has earned a strong debut Rotten Tomatoes score. A House of Dynamite is the first movie in eight years from Kathryn Bigelow, the Oscar-winning director of The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty.
Reactions to A House of Dynamite from critics at Venice have been extremely positive, with Pete Hammdon of Deadline Hollywood Daily reporting that it “is a wake-up call, a cold shower, a reckoning, and one hell of a motion picture achievement.” The movie will be released on Netflix on October 24.
Also starring Greta Lee, Jared Harris, Tracy Letts, Gabriel Basso, Anthony Ramos, Moses Ingram, and Jason Clarke, A House of Dynamite currently has a 92% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, aggregated from 12 reviews.
