College student from N.J. goes missing in South Carolina

A college student from New Jersey went missing early Friday morning near the school in South Carolina he attends.

Owen T. Kenney was last seen by friends in the area of King Street and Burns Lane in Charleston around 2 a.m. on Halloween, the city’s police department said in a statement Sunday.

The 19-year-old College of Charleston student was wearing the Boston Celtic jersey pictured above. Kenney is 6-foot-1 and weighs about 155 pounds.

He has tattoos on his right forearm, left shoulder, left shin and knee.

Kenney, of Tinton Falls, is a 2024 graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School, acccording to the school.

Police and school officials couldn’t immediately be reached for an update Monday morning.
