Ryan Reynolds just revealed the gift Blake Lively sent to the set of Deadpool & Wolverine, and it’s both fun and a little sentimental.
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Reynolds, costar Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy discuss the fun atmosphere on set, and the accompanying pictures show that spirit, with the threesome playing a little table tennis. And the table is not a prop for the photo shoot; that was a gift from Lively.
“[Blake] and I have a bunch of these prints of actors playing [Ping-Pong] on their sets,” Reynolds told the outlet, providing a rare peek into the couple’s interior decorating strategy. “We’ve got Newman and Redford in Durango, Mexico, during the shooting of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. We’ve got Jimmy Stewart and Henry Fonda, I think in the ’30s. We have Olivia de Havilland playing Ping-Pong, Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman playing. Joan Crawford. So Blake sent the Ping-Pong table to Pinewood Studios,” he explained. So sweet!
To better visualize the prints adorning the Reynolds-Lively home, here are a few samples. Olivia de Havilland:

As you can see, Ping-Pong has a special place in Hollywood history. But where is the table now? Did they bring it home for the kids, or did Reynolds send it to Capri so that Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively could face off while shooting A Simple Favor 2?
We can imagine a game between the Gossip Girl and Free Guy stars getting heated. As Jackman said in the interview, “Every family has a Deadpool in it somewhere. And every family should have another member who is not afraid to punch that person in the face,” to which Reynolds replied, “You can say her name. It’s Blake.” Those crazy kids.
