The licensing floodgates from Warner Bros. Television are swinging open once again to kick off the New Year. The NBC missing-persons drama Found is coming to Netflix in the United States. Both Seasons 1 and 2 (35 episodes) of Found are scheduled to arrive on Netflix US on Friday, January 2nd, 2026. No revival or renewal here, just licensing for the time being.
Netflix has been on a licensing bonanza over the past few years in the US and globally as it bolsters its own lineup of shows and movies with series from the past and the relatively close present, and Found fits firmly in that second category, given that its most recent (and final) season only just wrapped up earlier this year. It comes as rivals of Netflix, who cut off licensing to Netflix in the late 2010s, have turned the taps back on.
Created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll (All American), Found is a twisty procedural that aired on NBC and, until now, streaming exclusively on Peacock. Despite airing on NBC (which is owned by Comcast/NBCUniversal), Found is produced by Warner Bros. Television (specifically Berlanti Productions, which is working with Netflix on numerous upcoming projects).
As you may have heard, the series got canceled shortly after the final episode of season 2 aired.
What is Found about?
The series centers on Gabi Mosely, a public relations specialist and crisis manager who was once a kidnapping victim herself. Gabi and her crisis management team work tirelessly to find missing people who the system has overlooked, often people of color or those from marginalized communities whom law enforcement and the media have ignored. The hook is that Gabi has a dark secret, however. She has tracked down the man who kidnapped her as a child, known only as “Sir,” and is holding him captive in her basement.

Who is in the cast?
The series features a strong duo at its core, with Shanola Hampton (Shameless) playing the lead, Gabi Mosely, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Saved by the Bell, Pitch) playing the sinister kidnapper, Sir.
Rounding out the cast are:
Kelli Williams (The Practice) as Margaret Reed
Brett Dalton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Mark Trent
Gabrielle Walsh as Lacey Quinn
Arlen Escarpeta as Zeke Wallace
Karan Oberoi as Dhan Rana
Despite being canceled, is it worth a watch? While the show wraps up many of its case-of-the-week stories, viewers should be prepared that the overarching story may not have the definitive conclusion the creators originally planned. If the series blows up on Netflix, a la Manifest, who knows, given Netflix’s relationship with Berlanti Productions (and increasingly WBD if the sale goes through), could we see a revival? According to TVLine earlier this year, the show was shopped to multiple buyers, presumably including Netflix, but no buyer was ultimately found.
