Julia shared new ‘DNA results’ this week
A POLISH woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann has been arrested as she arrived in the UK.
Julia Wandelt, 23, was detained on suspicion of stalking and harassing Madeleine’s parents as she touched down at Bristol Airport at around 8pm last night, her representative said.

Julia’s representative confirmed that she remains in custody.
Having flown from Wroclaw in Poland, Julia was due to meet with a friend who lives in Cardiff when she was arrested, reports MailOnline.
Her friend – who is thought to be in her 60s – was also nicked by cops, it is understood.
Julia’s representative Surjit Singh Clair confirmed to The Sun that she was arrested after arriving in the UK yesterday evening.
He said: “She was arrested at around 8pm in Bristol Airport and remains in custody. I’m not prepared to make any further comment.”
The rep told MailOnline earlier: “The police have reportedly arrested her on an allegation of stalking and harassing the McCanns.”
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told The Sun: “Last night (Wednesday 19 February) two women were arrested at Bristol Airport as part of an ongoing investigation.
“A 23-year-old woman from Poland and a 60-year-old woman from Wales were arrested on suspicion of stalking involving serious alarm/distress.
“They both remain in custody and enquiries are continuing.”
The real Maddie was three when she vanished without trace in 2007 while on holiday with her parents Gerry and Kate, who were soon made prime suspects by Portuguese police.
But Julia became an internet sensation in February 2023 after claiming to be the missing youngster on Instagram, with the Instagram handle @IAmMadeleineMcCann.
Despite previously publishing DNA test results which concluded she is 100 per cent Polish and therefore cannot be missing Madeleine, Julia has this week shared ‘new’ DNA results which apparently show she is related to Gerry McCann.
She claimed the results were submitted to a “world expert” who compared them to DNA found at the crime scene in 2007, when Madeleine disappeared in Praia de Luz, Portugal.
Julia alleged experts also matched her eyes, teeth and voice with Madeleine.
She also claimed her “source” believes the evidence “strongly supports that Gerry McCann could be Julia’s biological father”.
This particular announcement refutes the claims previously made by private investigator Dr Fia Johansson, who in 2023 shared Wandelt’s DNA results that said she was, in fact, fully Polish.

She said she had previously been “struggling to understand” those results from almost two years ago, and claimed Dr Johansson was not telling the truth – which the investigator categorically denied.
Earlier this week, Julia shared an audio clip on her Instagram account in which she claims to have tried to speak with Gerry McCann on the phone.
The man hung up on her a few seconds in to the call, saying she must have the wrong number.
Julia previously told the BBC’s disinformation and social media correspondent, Marianna Spring, how she was sexually abused as a young child.
The Polish national said she first started believing she was Madeleine McCann after seeing resemblances between sketches of suspects and her abuser.
She claimed this led to her suffering from gaps in her memory which caused her to become suspicious about her upbringing after her parents dismissed questions on whether she was adopted.
Julia also said she was never shown photos of herself in her early years or a birth certificate.
However, her parents had quickly refuted this and provided evidence.
