“I binged the entire season in one day.” “My jaw was on the ground.” “This is a salacious soap opera.” “Pure entertainment.” “A scandalous binge-watch.” These are just a handful of social media comments pouring in from fans of Netflix’s latest guilty pleasure TV series The Hunting Wives. The show, based on May Cobb’s bestselling novel of the same name, is quite literally the talk of the town and it’s sitting at the top spot on Netflix’s most-watched list right now.

The series follows a recently-turned-housewife from Boston (played by Brittany Snow) who gets caught up in the wrong yet scandalously fun (and deeply unhinged) crowd of glamorous, gun-toting women when she moves to Texas for her husband’s job—and let’s just say, things spiral. Fast. And in real life, the show’s stars lead almost as interesting personal lives. Here, we’re taking a look at the IRL love lives of The Hunting Wives. Keep reading to find out who’s married, who’s dating and who’s single!

Malin Akerman (Margo Banks) and Jack Donnelly

On The Hunting Wives, Swedish actress Malin Akerman (The Heartbreak Kid, 27 Dresses) brilliantly portrays the seductive, secretive Margo Banks—wife of billionaire Jed Banks—but the star has a, shall we say, slightly less dramatic life in the real world. Akerman, 47, was previously married to Italian musician Roberto Zincone from 2007 to 2013. She and Zincone have a 12-year-old son named Sebastian.

Akerman is now married to British actor Jack Donnelly, 39. The couple wed in 2018 and have worked together on two movies—Friendsgiving and Slayers.

Akerman has opened up about Donnelly being a great stepdad to her son. “He was brilliant with my son, and my heart melted,” she said on Live with Kelly and Ryan in 2018. “You try to explain to a 4 œ -year-old that you’re getting married and what an engagement is, and he jumped on the couch and went, ‘Yay, we’re getting married!’”

Brittany Snow (Sophie O’Neil) and her relationship history

Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect, Someone Great) plays Texas newcomer Sophie O’Neil on The Hunting Wives—and her character is almost immediately drawn into a wild world of drama. In real life, Snow’s love life has also had some ups and downs. From 2008 to 2010, Snow, 39, dated American actor Ryan Rottman after they met on the set of the indie film Walk.

In 2011, Snow was linked to musician William Tell after the two were seen holding hands at Coachella. But by 2012, Tell was dating reality TV star and entrepreneur Lauren Conrad (Laguna Beach, The Hills), to whom he’s now married.

From 2012 to 2015, Snow quietly dated actor Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf). Around 2015, she was spotted with filmmaker Andrew Jenks at a Knicks game.

Then, in 2018, Snow began dating pro surfer and real estate broker Tyler Stanaland. The two married in March 2020. But after the release of Hoechlin’s Netflix reality series, Selling the OC, the couple announced their separation. And the reason for their split was a tad dramatic. He was caught being flirty—on screen and off—with Selling the OC co-stars Alex Hall and Kayla Cardona. After the couple divorced, Snow opened up to Alex Cooper during a Call Her Daddy episode. “I was not aware of a lot of the things, and I’ll say that,” Snow revealed. “So, I will say what people think happened, happened.” She continued, “I think a lot of people go into relationships where someone hurts them, but I don’t regret it. I don’t regret anything that happened. I loved that time that we had when we had it.”

In recent months, Snow has sparked romance rumors with photographer Hunter Moreno, 30, after being photographed kissing in New York City. Are they still together? Well, it’s not confirmed, but Instagram sleuths noticed that Snow gave him a photo credit on Instagram last month.

Jaime Ray Newman (The Time Traveler’s Wife, Little Fires Everywhere) portrays Callie, the wife of Sheriff Jonny Baskin, on The Hunting Wives—and she’s also Margo’s bestie (with benefits). That is, until Sophie arrives in Maple Brook, Texas. IRL, Newman, 47, is married to Israeli writer and director Guy Nattiv, 52. They got married on April 2, 2012, her 34th birthday, and they have two daughters: Alma Ness, 5, and Mila Nico, 4.

Katie Lowes (Scandal, Inventing Anna) plays Jill, the reverend’s wife, on The Hunting Wives. In the TV show, Lowes, 42, is quietly struggling in an unhappy marriage. But in real life, Lowes is very happily married to 43-year-old actor Adam Shapiro (Never Have I Ever, The Bear). The two have been going strong since tying the knot on June 23, 2012. They have two children—Albee, 7, and Vera, 4—and just celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary. In a recent interview with People, Lowes revealed the secret to their steady marriage: a mix of couples therapy, shared adventures and traveling the world.

Chrissy Metz (Starr) and her new love

Chrissy Metz, who is beloved for her role as Kate Pearson on NBC’s hit series This Is Us, plays Starr on The Hunting Wives. In real life, Metz, 44, was married to British journalist Martyn Eaden from 2008 to 2014. Then, from 2016 to 2018, she dated cameraman Josh Stancil. In 2020, Metz was linked to composer Hal Rosenfeld.

In 2020, Metz met Nashville-based songwriter Bradley Collins. The two began dating and even collaborated on a children’s book, When I Talk to God, I Talk About You. The couple announced an amicable split in 2023 in a joint post on Instagram. “After three and a half years together, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship amicably,” Metz shared in the post.

Most recently, Metz opened up about her love life in an interview with People—and it seems like she’s newly in love with an electrical engineer, but she’s keeping things private for now. “He’s so supportive and so kind,” she said to People. “I’m like, this relationship makes me feel good about myself? What’s the catch?”

Dermot Mulroney (Jed Banks) and his marriage history

On The Hunting Wives, Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Family Stone) plays Jed Banks. Jed is the husband of Margo Banks, and their marriage
is toxic, twisted and totally bonkers. In real life, Mulroney’s love life has been pretty wholesome. He was married to actress Catherine Keener for nearly two decades. After meeting on the set of Survival Quest in the late ‘80s, they tied the knot in 1990, welcomed a son—Clyde Keener Mulroney—in 1999 and ultimately called it quits in 2007.

In 2008, Dermot found love again with Italian singer-songwriter Tharita Cesaroni (who later went by Prima Apollinaare). The pair wed in 2010, have two daughters—Mabel Ray, 17, and Sally June, 15—and enjoyed nearly 15 years of marriage before amicably parting ways in 2025.
