Prince William Fully Kicked His Cousins Off the Royal Easter Invite List
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie arenât attending royal Easter celebrations this year, and thatâd be because Prince William (reportedly!) made sure they werenât invited.
A source tells Rob Shuter that âThis wasnât optional. It was decided for them. William is tightening the circle. And this is what that looks like. Heâs thinking about the future, not feelings. Itâs about protecting the brand. Thereâs history there the palace canât ignore. Even if no one wants to say it out loud.â
According to the insider, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie could find themselves banned from future royal guest lists. âThese things donât just happen once,â they explain. âOnce youâre out, itâs easier to stay out. Charles may still be king, but William is making the decisions that matter. This wasnât about Easter. It was about control.â

And yet another source says that while decisions like this arenât made without King Charles, âWilliam made it very clear what he wanted. Heâs thinking like a CEO. Whoâs on the stage matters. Whoâs notâmatters more. William controls the future of the royal family. Him, Catherine, and their three children â thatâs the monarchy people show up for.â
Ultimately, William said that he, Kate Middleton, and their kids wouldnât show up at Easter if Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were there, making it a âthem or usâ situation.
âThe message was simple,â the source says. âIf certain people are there, we wonât be. You canât have a royal event without William and his family. If they donât show, the whole thing collapses.â
