Netflix finally announced the release date for Emily in Paris season 4
Enfin, Emily in Paris fans! For Netflix Is A Joke Fest, Netflix finally announced the release date for Emily in Paris season 4 via a teaser featuring the whole cast of season 4. The streamer also confirmed the season will be split into two parts.
The new season premieres on Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, but only the first five episodes of the season (Part 1) will be available. Part 2 will be released on Thursday, Sept. 12. It will also consist of five episodes. There will be 10 episodes, in total, in season 4.
Lily Collins announced the release date(s) for season 4 in a new teaser. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, Camille Razat, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, and William Abadie also joined in to share three words about season 4!
It’s been so long since Emily in Paris season 3 premiered on Netflix in December 2022. A lot has happened since then, including the writers’ and actors’ strikes, which delayed production until the beginning of 2024.
Personally, I don’t love the split seasons. I hope Darren Starr and the rest of the creative team knew that they’d be splitting the season into two-parts ahead of time instead of Netflix making fans wait a month in the middle of the season.
Netflix also shared the full synopsis for Emily in Paris season 4:
“After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling: She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed. At work, Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shakeups. Mindy and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty. Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.”
Emily in Paris season 4 is still filming, but not in Paris
Netflix doesn’t usually operate like this, but I love the early release date announcement. It tells me they are confident about the season! And, it’s coming soon, too, which is wild because the season is still in production as Park mentioned in the teaser video for the release date.
Production on season 4 wrapped in Paris at the end of April 2024. The cast and crew then moved to Rome to finish production. Collins announced the move to Rome on Instagram.
