Did Stefon Diggs and Cardi B split? What happened on Super Bowl Sunday that started the breakup rumors

It wasn’t the best weekend for New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

He lost Super Bowl 60 to the Seattle Seahawks, and by the end of the night, rumors were swirling that Diggs, 32 and his girlfriend, Cardi B, 33, had split.

The drama unfolded after fans noticed the NFL star and “Bodak Yellow” rapper unfollowed each other on social media.

It didn’t take long for fans to start speculating that the couple, who just welcomed a baby boy together in November 2025, had broken up.

“Trouble in paradise,” one user commented on X.

“breaking up after the Super Bowl is WILD!” a second said.

“I bet something happened before the game,” a third wrote.

“Losing the Super Bowl and then losing the follow in the same night is diabolical timing,” another added.

Cardi B seemed tense before the game

Even before the Patriots lost 29-13 to the Seahawks on Sunday night, some fans thought something was off with the couple, as Cardi appeared noticeably tense when responding to a question about Diggs.

The awkward exchange took place on the red carpet at the Fanatics Super Bowl pre-game party in San Francisco on Saturday, Feb. 8 when an ESPN reporter asked the rapper if she had “one inspiring message for Stefon before the game.”

Instead of the enthusiastic support she typically shares about the NFL wide receiver, she kept it short – and somewhat cold.

“Good luck,” Cardi said, before walking away.

It didn’t take long for the clip to make its round on X, and fans immediately began speculating that there was trouble in paradise.

“Ooooo he in trouble???” one user commented.

“So cold,” another person said.

“If I would’ve seen this before the game I would’ve bet the house on the Seahawks,” someone else quipped.

As of Monday morning, neither Diggs or Cardi B have commented on the breakup rumors.
