“Anybody can rhyme words, [but] what are you saying?”
Symba has expressed his belief that he’s a superior rapper to Eminem, as he feels the Hip-Hop icon simply strings words together for the sake of rhyming.
The West Coast native recently partook in a panel discussion at the REVOLT WORLD conference, during which he voiced his opinion that Shady isn’t the greatest rapper of all-time.
“I respect Eminem on a level as a man,” the 24-year-old said while appearing on “The Great Debate” panel hosted by Brian “B.Dot” Miller and featuring Trina, Rob Markman, and Tierra Whack. “But as a rapper, I feel like I can name five better rappers.”
While Symba praised Eminem’s discography, the rising star took things a step further, declaring that he’s a better artist than the Detroit legend. “Wait, soo you think you’re better than Eminem?” Whack asked Symba at one point during the conversation,” with the “Hell Of A Feeling” rapper responding by confirming his position. “Yes,” he said after giving the question some thought. “Anybody can rhyme words, [but] what are you saying?”
Symba is the latest in a growing list of artists and fans who have either debated Em’s status as a “Rap God” or outright challenged him by saying they’d lyrically outduel him. In 2022, The Game dissed the 50-year-old on multiple occasions, including on the song “The Black Slim Shady” from his Drillmatic – Heart vs. Mind album. During an appearance on Drink Champs, the Compton native invited Em to join him on a track to determine who’s the more skilled emcee.
“When y’all say Eminem is better and all that, I see it, I see it. I feel you,” The Game said at the time. “And you know what? If you feel like Eminem is better than me, that’s your opinion. But it’s a lot of people that feel like I’m better than Eminem, and that’s they opinion.
Eminem has since responded to his critics on the song “Realest” by his latest signee, rapper Ez Mil.
