Landman star Michelle Randolph shares update on Season 3

Speaking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Michelle Randolph confirmed she has not yet received scripts for the upcoming season and does not know when filming will begin. When asked about the timeline for production, Randolph said, “I haven’t seen any scripts. I don’t have exact dates — yet.”

Landman debuted on Paramount+ in November 2024 and has become one of the platform’s most successful series. The Season 2 finale reached a series high with 1.77 billion viewing minutes during the week before its January 18 release. The Taylor Sheridan drama follows landmen securing oil and gas leases in West Texas. It explores negotiations between landowners and energy companies and the consequences of those deals.

Randolph portrays Ainsley Norris, the daughter of Tommy and Angela Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter. Reflecting on her character’s direction, Randolph explained that Season 3 could explore Ainsley’s life as she begins college and spends time away from her family. She said, “Well, we know who Ainsley is when she is around her family and comfortable. So I’m looking forward to seeing and discovering who she is when she goes to college and she’s around her peers and out of her comfort zone.”

She also discussed how the character’s growth has unfolded across the series and how that progression may continue in future episodes. Randolph said, “What’s cool about growing with a character is, especially on a TV show, you get to meet them at different points in their life. I’m learning who Ainsley is as she’s learning who she is. That makes me excited to get back.”

The Landman cast also includes Jacob Lofland, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, and Sam Elliott. The series streams on Paramount+, and a third season is expected later in 2026.
