A harrowing docu-series chronicling ordinary people caught in deadly natural disasters is captivating viewers and claiming its place amongst the most-watched programs on HBO’s Max streaming platform this week. Today, In the Eye of the Storm sits as the seventh most viewed show on the platform formerly known as HBO Max and is the the number 1 doc on the streamer.

With Twisters raking in over $200 million (and counting) at the global box office, it comes as no surprise that this series is resonating with Max subscribers. The idea of ordinary people capturing firsthand encounters with massive weather events is compelling (and timely) to say the least.
