Tiger Woods appears to have avoided injury after getting into a car crash on Friday, a new indicated.

Woods was involved in a rollover crash near his Florida home on Friday, sparking concern for the golfer’s condition. While authorities have yet to make an official statement, a report indicated that no one was hurt in the crash.

Tiger Woods Avoided Injury

The Associated Press reported that the crash involved two cars, with one of them suffering a rollover. While it was not clear exactly what role Woods played in the crash, the report added that there were no injuries in either of the vehicles and no one was taken to the hospital.

“According to a source at the Martin County Fire Rescue, it was a two-car crash, one vehicle was a rollover,” the report noted. “One person is stable, while another refused to go to the hospital. MCFR said there are no injuries to anyone. No additional information was immediately released.

The report added that more details would be coming later in the evening.

“Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek is set to hold a news conference regarding the rollover vehicle crash at 5 p.m. on Friday,” the report added.

Images from the scene showed a black SUV on its passenger side in what appeared to be a residential neighborhood. There was no other significant damage seen on the vehicle, which was surrounded by emergency responders.

As a report from WPEC noted, Woods had been hurt in previous car crashes, including another rollover.

“The most significant previous incident occurred on February 23, 2021, when Woods was injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Rolling Hills Estates near Los Angeles,” the report noted. Authorities said Woods lost control of his SUV at a high rate of speed, left the roadway, and struck a tree. He suffered serious injuries to his right leg, requiring multiple surgeries, though investigators later determined the crash was an accident and ruled out impairment.”

Tiger Woods Working to Make Golf Return

Woods had been working his way back from a torn Achilles suffered in March 2025 and this week returned to the golf course for the first time in more than a year. He competed in the TGL finals on Tuesday, where his Jupiter Links GC lost to the Los Angeles Golf Club, but Woods was limited and hit only nine shots in the appearance.

There has been speculation about when Woods could return in full. He threw his hat in the ring for the 46th U.S. Senior Open in July, but a spokesperson said it was unclear whether he would compete.

“Tiger has entered the championship, simply to ensure eligibility, but will not make a decision about playing until a later date,” a USGA spokesperson said Friday, via The Sports Leader.

While Woods has not yet announced whether he will compete in the Masters Tournament next month, President Donald Trump said this week that the golfer would not be competing. Woods is dating Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., and has kept close ties with the Trump family.
