Netflix dropped new images of Back In Action starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz on Wednesday.

The highly-anticipated spy comedy marks a reunion for the two Hollywood icons a decade after their collaboration in Annie, which notably served as Diaz’s final film before her hiatus from acting.

Serving as a comeback for the 51-year-old Charlie’s Angels alum, the film also secured an official release date: it is set to premiere on the streaming platform on November 15.

According to the official logline, Back in Action follows Matt and Emily, who, after retiring from their CIA spy careers to start a family, are unexpectedly pulled back into the world of international espionage when their cover is blown.

In the newly released photos, Foxx, 56, and Diaz look every inch the sexy secret agents as they undertake their undercover mission in stunning attire.

In one image, Foxx exudes timeless charm in a sleek black tuxedo, while Diaz radiates allure in a camisole top paired with a tuxedo jacket.

The dynamic duo is captured sprinting in matching ensembles in another shot.

Yet another still showcases the crime-fighting partners against a snowy backdrop, engaged in unraveling the contents of a mysterious package.

The final frame captures Foxx and Diaz taking charge of a scene alongside Glenn Close, as the trio immerse themselves in espionage within a study setting.

Production for the movie commenced in December 2022, with both actors often sighted in London, where part of the film was shot.

However, filming came to a halt due to a mysterious medical emergency involving Foxx in April 2023.

Subsequently, filming for Back in Action relocated to Georgia, where Jamie was unexpectedly hospitalized—a revelation disclosed by his daughter, Corinne, at the time.

While most specifics surrounding the actor’s health concern have been kept private, Corinne took to her Instagram Stories in May 2023 to provide an update on Foxx’s condition.

‘My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!’

The Any Given Sunday co-stars resumed filming of this movie on January 21.

In April, Foxx said he plans on revealing the details about his health scare in an upcoming comedy special.

In December, Foxx opened up about his near-death experience for his first public appearance since his shock health scare at the Critics Choice Association’s event.

Foxx admitted that he could not ‘walk’ six months earlier, via Deadline, though he refrained from revealing too many details about the medical crisis that put him in the hospital.

‘You know, it’s crazy, I couldn’t do that six months ago,’ he said after strutting across the stage to the microphone. ‘I couldn’t actually walk.’

‘I want to thanks everybody. I’ve been through something, I’ve been through some things,’ he said to thunderous applause.

The actor was visibly moved as he accepted the Vanguard Award at the association’s Celebration of Cinema & Television: Honoring Black, Latino and AAPI Achievements in Los Angeles.

In his 12-minute speech, he also made light of some of the baseless conspiracy theories that spread while he was hospitalized and then out of the public eye for several months.

Diaz also spoke out about all the rumors swirling around Foxx’s medical emergency on Molly Sims’ Lipstick on the Rim podcast.

‘You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, “What are you talking about?” Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew. Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him, and he’s just a professional on every level,’ she said.

Back in Action also stars Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts and Rylan Jackson.

Diaz retired from acting in 2014 after revealing the long hours of shooting made it too hard for her to balance family life. And while she’s made a return for Back in Action, she also plans to retire again after this film.
