Bridgerton Intimacy Coordinator Proves Season 5 Will Be Extra Steamy

After Netflix confirmed that Bridgerton season five will be led by Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Sterling (Masali Baduza), the show’s intimacy coordinator teased upcoming sex scenes.

There will be more tea to have in Mayfair next season.

After Netflix announced that Bridgerton‘s fifth installment would be led by Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Sterling (Masali Baduza), the show’s intimacy coordinator Lizzy Talbot shared rare insight into the upcoming sultry scenes.

“Moment of silence for all the husbands,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories March 26 alongside a snap of Hannah and Masali, “whose wives will leave them after watching season 5.”

After all, the next season—which jumps forward two years—will follow Francesca as she explores a blossoming romance with Michaela, the cousin of her late husband John Stirling (Victor Alli).

The series will surely bring the heat, thanks to Lizzy, who has worked on the romance series since season one. Most recently, she guided a certain silver ingenue (Yerin Ha‘s Sophie Baek) into the arms of none other than Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson).

And the season four leads knew just how important those heartstopping, blush-inducing interactions were for their characters in the series.

“I do think that with those scenes, it is just an extension of an emotion,” Yerin told E! News in January, “and it’s there because it has to be, not because we’re just doing a steamy scene for a steamy scene’s sake.”

Luckily, the pair’s chemistry on set was more than a fairytale, which made their intimate scenes all the more enticing.

“We didn’t force anything,” Yerin shared. “We tried to let it happen and see what was going to grow organically. I’m a big believer in not forcing anything and trying to not make people feel something a certain way about me.”

“It was just having to trust him, and you do have to surrender a little bit, and that is kind of scary,” she added. “But immediately, as I met Luke, I was like, ‘Oh, I can let my walls down a little bit and just see what play happens.'”

And now, it’s Hannah and Masali’s time to shine, with showrunner Jess Brownell reflecting on the monumental nature of their love story.

“More than ever, season five is going to be about yearning,” she told Netflix’s Tudum in an interview published March 24. “It feels groundbreaking. Obviously, there are a lot of great shows that have depicted queer love. We’re not the first by any means. But to make an entire Bridgerton season about a sapphic relationship feels huge.”
