A Long Island woman who went missing late last week may be in a state of psychosis, her loved ones said in an online fundraiser.

Brittany Kritis-Garip, 32, was last seen Friday, March 20 around 8 p.m. in Oyster Bay, according to the Nassau County Police Department. She is listed at 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

“We believe she was disoriented and frightened, and may think she is in danger,” organizer Sarah Castor wrote in a GoFundMe. “She is not dangerous — she needs help.”

Kritis-Garip was reported missing 30 minutes after she disappeared, but she has not been located despite an extensive search around Oyster Bay.

Her wallet was found Monday, March 23 in a marshy, sandy area near the end of Florence Avenue, Castor wrote in a Facebook group dedicated to searching for Kritis-Garip. The street sits just feet from Oyster Bay Harbor.

The GoFundMe is seeking $9,000 to help hire a private investigator and cover costs of the extensive search.

“If you see Brittany or have any information, please contact the police immediately,” Castor wrote. “Brittany is deeply loved. We are doing everything we can to find her — and we are so grateful for your support.”
