Travis Kelceās High School Coach Hints at New Career Amid Engagement to āKindest Young Ladyā Taylor Swift
Travis Kelceās high school coach doesnāt know when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end willĀ decide to retire, but he believes that whenever it happens, there will be another job waiting for him.
āYou will see him in movies, in my opinion,āĀ Cleveland Heights High School footballĀ coachĀ Jeff RotskyĀ toldĀ Cleveland Jewish NewsĀ in a story published Tuesday, December 30. āTravis will be successful at whatever he chooses to put his mind to.ā
Kelce, 36, already has a handful of acting credits to his name, including an appearance inĀ Happy Gilmore 2Ā and a recurring role inĀ Ryan MurphyāsĀ Grotesquerie. Rotsky said he is also looking forward to Kelceās other big role ā being a husband toĀ Taylor Swift.
āIām excited for him to become a husband,ā Rotsky said. āThereās very few people in the world that could handle the limelight the way he does.ā
He continued, āAnd Taylor is the kindest young lady. Iāve only met her three times, but she is so humble, nice, wonderful and just an amazing person. Seeing how happy they are together makes me very happy because they each incredibly support the other and what they do.ā
Kelce and Swift, also 36, announced their engagement in August after two years of dating. The couple hasnāt revealed yet when exactly they plan to get married, but Swift said in an October appearance onĀ The Graham Norton ShowĀ thatĀ wedding planningĀ is next on her to-do list.
āIām just doing the album thing now, which is a big thing,ā she said, referring to her albumĀ The Life of a Showgirl, which she released October 3. āThen, I think the wedding is what happens after that in the scheme of the planning, but Iām so excited about it. I know itās gonna be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are on the bubble.ā But other than saying āI do,ā fans still donāt know much about Kelceās upcoming plans. The Chiefs have one game remaining in the 2025 season and are shockingly out of the playoff picture after appearing in five of the last six Super Bowls. Kelce considered retirement last season and could opt to hang it up after Kansas Cityās season finale on Sunday, January 4, against the Las Vegas Raiders. While Rotsky doesnāt know what Kelce will decide, he does believe the Westlake, Ohio, native can still contribute at a high level ā and that he might want to do so again next year, after quarterbackĀ Patrick Mahomes presumably recovers from his torn ACL.
āHe obviously proved he can still play,ā Rotsky said. āIād love to see him play another year and make a run with everybody healthy on that team.ā
In a pregame interview before the Chiefsā Christmas Day game against the Denver Broncos, Kelce told former NFL starĀ Tony GonzalezĀ that he is āstill searchingā for answers about his future.
āI feel like I have a lot of love for this game,ā he said. āIf I came back itād just be to answer that flame that I still love this thing. If it was just Sundays, I could play till I was 50. Obviously, thereās so much that goes into it. Arrowhead being Arrowhead, the atmosphere [and] playing in front of them, those will be memories that I cherish [when] Iām old and gray. ⦠Itās special, man, and I love playing for them.āa
