In early October, Netflix premiered one of its many new Turkish commissions for 2025, Old Money. Also known as Enfes Bir Akşam, the drama, headlined by Selin Sekerci, Zeynep Oymak, and Serkan Altunorak, will return for a second season on Netflix.
Deadline confirmed the renewal this morning, citing a producer who said it was officially greenlit, though it was ultimately coy and light on plans for the second season. Netflix itself has yet to formally confirm the renewal on its socials. We’ll update this post with any quotes, cast and crew reactions, and any official assets as and when we get them.
Anyone who got to the end of Old Money will certainly know that more was set up for the future. After a season of circling one another, Nihal and Osman finally confront the truth that their connection is real, yet built on shaky foundations, given that their differences run deeper than either wants to admit. Nihal walks away from both the Baydemir legacy and the mansion that defined her family’s downfall, choosing to leave Istanbul altogether. Her departure feels less like a breakup and more like a release from the weight of inherited expectations. Osman, meanwhile, secures the symbolic prize he has chased all season: the mansion key. Instead of triumph, it delivers clarity. He realises the pursuit has been about proving himself rather than finding happiness. In the final moments, he throws the key aside, rejecting the status obsession that has driven him.
The series is written by Meriç Acemi and directed by Uluç Bayraktar, with Timur Savcı and Burak Sağyaşar producing for TIMS and B Productions. The ensemble cast includes Engin Akyürek, Aslı Enver, Dolunay Soysert, İsmail Demirci, Serkan Altunorak, Taro Emir Tekin, Selin Şekerci, Sedef Avcı, Zeynep Oymak, Armağan Oğuz, and Ahmet Utlu, bringing the show’s tangled relationships and high-stakes family drama to life.
How well has Old Money been performing on Netflix?
From several locations, we can see that Old Money has been a breakout success for Netflix Turkey. FlixPatrol data suggests the show has featured in the daily top 10s in 78 regions, but perhaps most importantly, as we’ve covered with international renewals, it has managed to spend over 30 days in the Turkish daily top 10s. On the day of renewal, the series remained the fifth-most-watched in the country.
Furthermore, the series spent three weeks in the global Non-English TV top 10s before dropping out, picking up 67.2M hours watched, which equates to 11.8M views. Here’s how its viewership broke down week to week from launch through October 26th:
