It’s safe to say Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton had a smashing time while filming their steamy mirror scene in “Bridgerton” Season 3.

The actress, who portrays Penelope Featherington in the Netflix series, revealed she and her scene partner destroyed a chaise lounge chair while filming a sex scene from the show’s newest set of episodes.

“Part Two is out now, we put our heart and souls into it, hope you love watching it as much as we loved filming it,” the 37-year-old wrote on Instagram Thursday, along with the hashtag, “PolinForever.”

Coughlan shared a photo of herself and Newton as they both posed with their thumbs up over the chaise’s broken leg.

The “Derry Girls” alum was all smiles while Newton gave an apologetic face behind her.

The series’ intimacy coordinator, Lizzy Talbot, also shared the photo to her Instagram with a sweet caption congratulating the two.

“Been waiting forever for this to come out! It might be my most favourite work picture I’ve ever taken. You just know it’s going to be a great scene when something like this happens,” she said with two laughing emojis.

She continued, “You absolutely smashed this season in every sense of the word and it was a total joy and privilege to work with you.”

“Two of the kindest people to ever walk on set. We knew we had something special and it’s just incredible to get to share it. This was a scene I won’t ever forget and couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved,” Talbot said.

In May, Coughlan teased the forthcoming sex scene by revealing she chose to show more skin in her steamy scenes with Newton as a response to potential body shamers.

“I specifically asked for certain lines and moments to be included,” she told Stylist Magazine at the time. “There’s one scene where I’m very naked on camera, and that was my idea, my choice.”

“It just felt like the biggest ‘f–k you’ to all the conversation surrounding my body; it was amazingly empowering,” Coughlan said.

“I felt beautiful in the moment, and I thought: ‘When I’m 80, I want to look back on this and remember how f—king hot I looked!’”
