I’m A Celebrity star Caroline Quentin has opened up about a ‘real’ moment that happened during a scene in popular Netflix series Bridgerton, where she nearly lost a tooth

Caroline Quentin has disclosed a close call with dental disaster during a particularly “real” moment in the smash-hit Netflix series Bridgerton. Chatting on Alan Titchmarsh’s Sunday show, the 64-year-old actress opened up about her recent hectic schedule.
She’s currently treading the boards in a play with her daughter, one that was once banned for its risque content.
She also took a trip down memory lane to her days on Doc Martin, where she starred as a vet opposite her old pal and Men Behaving Badly co-star Martin Clunes, with the duo reportedly spending much of their time on set in fits of giggles.
The chat then veered towards her stint in the wildly popular Bridgerton. Caroline stepped into the shoes of the insufferable Lady Berbrooke, hell-bent on hitching her baron son to Daphne Bridgerton.
Despite Baron Berbrooke’s advances, Daphne’s heart was elsewhere, firmly fixed on the Duke of Hastings, who was decidedly anti-marriage and family life, according to the Express.
With Baron Berbrooke as Daphne’s sole suitor, her mother Violet saw fit to invite him and his mother (Caroline’s character) over for afternoon tea. The notoriously impolite Mrs Berbrooke laid out a slew of ludicrous demands for a potential wife while indulging in the lavish array of cakes and sandwiches.
As she bit into a cake, the audience will recall the startling crunch that ensued, but Caroline has now revealed that it wasn’t scripted at all she genuinely feared for her tooth.
The chit-chat moved on to when Alan, the gardening whiz, jokingly remarked: “There goes a tooth.”
Caroline shared an unexpected tidbit, revealing: “Do you know, my friend Lisa who I was at school with does all of the food on Bridgerton and we were in a dormitory together when we were little, little girls and when I bit down it was one of those silver balls that are on cakes.”
Alan chimed in with a “Yeah,” which led Caroline to add: “Well she came over and went ‘I’m so sorry,” she then stated: “But that was genuine it really was like I think ‘I’ve taken a tooth out’.”
Alan chuckled: “It sounded great,” and Caroline set him straight: “No it wasn’t, that is me biting down on one of those silver balls.”
Complimenting her, Alan said: “You see your timing’s bang on even when you’re biting into a cake.”
