She walked hand in hand with co-star Luke Newton

Nicola Coughlan’s red carpet style during her Bridgerton press tour has been one hit after another.

On the eve of the release of season 3, part 2, the Irish actress, 37, shut down the red carpet at the London screening in the best way.

Coughlan showed up for the big event looking positively bridal — with a twist! She wore a sparkling blush-hued off-the-shoulder Rodarte gown with maroon velvet opera gloves (with her ceasefire pin firmly in place). To add to the bridal motif (her character, Penelope Featherington, is due to be married this season, after all), she wore a matching bow in her hair with a tulle veil that trailed behind her.

Perhaps her best accessory was her co-star Luke Newton, whose hand she firmly held for much of the carpet. Newton wore an oversize gray striped suit with loose-fit trousers and a boxy jacket with embellished shoulders. He completed the look with black dress shoes.

Earlier in the press tour for the show, Coughlan brought out her sassy side when an internet troll questioned her for being just too sexy (that’s the only thing we can figure).

While promoting the show in Australia, Coughlan wore an all-black Ganni outfit with a floor-length skirt, plunging bra top and oversize blazer. She looked absolutely flawless. But one internet troll wanted to know why she was “in her bra.”

Coughlan took the high road, sharing the comment on her Instagram Stories (with a photo of herself in said bra) with the username covered up and replied, “Cos it looked good.”

At another London event on April 11, she wore a custom 22k gold-plated corset. Her two-piece set was made by designer Suhani Parekh in Mumbai and took a month to create. The sculpted top half was met at her waist by a textured bottom piece that added curves. For contrast, she also wore black sleeves and a black skirt underneath.

The gold bodice also included a heart motif that the designer added as a nod to Penelope’s love of Colin Bridgerton (Newton). It doesn’t get much sweeter than that.
