Ryan Reynolds is looking back at the special cameo by Taylor Swift‘s cats in Deadpool 2!
If you missed it, in the 2018 sequel, the 34-year-old “Love Story” singer’s two cats Olivia and Meredith appeared on one of the 47-year-old actor’s character Wade Wilson’s shirts.
While promoting Deadpool & Wolverine in a new interview, Ryan joked that he was “sued” by Taylor for using her cats in the movie.
“Yes, I had a T-shirt made. Yes, of Meredith and Olivia on Wade’s shirt,” Ryan shared with SiriusXM’s Town Hall. “Yeah, you know, just little details, that’s all.”
Host Jess Cagle then asked, “Now, when you put her cats on a T-shirt, did you have to call her and get permission?”
“No, I was sued. I lost everything in that one,” Ryan jokingly responded. “And getting sued by a friend is tough to swallow.”
“Also, she has just a lot of very, very powerful lawyers,” he continued. “I found out later those are just the paralegals. The real lawyers didn’t even bother with it.”
But…I would never do such a thing,” Ryan added about wearing the shirt without Taylor‘s permission.
Obviously there’s no bad blood between Ryan and Taylor over the shirt since the two have remained close friends.
Back in May, Ryan and wife Blake Lively, with their three eldest daughters, attended Taylor‘s Eras Tour show in Madrid.
