Season 3 is officially on the way, and the premiere window is starting to come into focus. Netflix hasn’t announced an exact date yet, but with production momentum building, all signs point to a 2026 release rather than a long wait.

New chapters, unresolved feelings, and one lingering choice from last season are clearly being set up for what comes next.

The date isn’t locked
but the return is closer than it seems. 👇

What To Know

Netflix has confirmed that XO, Kitty will return for Season 3.
The streamer shared a premiere update in January 2026.
Anna Cathcart will return as Kitty along with most of the main cast, with a few new characters joining.

Can’t get over all the drama “chaos queen” Kitty Covey (Anna Cathcart) caused in XO, Kitty , and wondering when she’ll be back at KISS with her friends (and potential loves)? Almost exactly a year after XO, Kitty Season 2 premiered and left fans on a cliffhanger, the streamer provided a major update about Season 3’s premiere.

“I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama
just wait,” XO, Kitty showrunner, executive producer, and writer Jessica O’Toole told Tudum. “I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2, but I can promise Season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode — not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure
and kissing. Lots of kissing.”

Lara Jean Covey’s (Lana Condor) younger sister knows how to cause a scandal or two. Remember, she was the one who sent out all the letters in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. In the spinoff series, she’s already gotten herself into messy situations. Just like her older sister, she’s had quite a few crushes. From her Season 1 boyfriend, Dae-heon Kim (Choi Min-young), to her frenemy-turned-potential love interest Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee), to even her best gal pal Yuri Han (Gia Kim), Kitty has a way of making everything just a tad complicated — and we love her for that.

Netflix has been stingy with the details about Season 3, but Swooon did some investigating into everything that’s been revealed so far. Find out everything we know about its release date, returning and new cast members, plot, and more.

When does XO, Kitty Season 3 premiere?

Ever since Season 3 wrapped filming in July 2025, many fans expected a 2026 release date, and it was finally confirmed in the new year. Kitty’s journey will continue in 2026, though an exact release date has yet to be revealed. Tudum reported that the synopsis is coming soon.

Who will return for XO, Kitty Season 3?

The series wouldn’t be the same without its lead character, Kitty, so you best believe Cathcart will be back for the third season. She receives the Season 3 script in Netflix’s renewal announcement video, which you can watch below.

More familiar faces are set to return: Minyeong Choi (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri), Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho), Anthony Keyvan (Q), Regan Aliyah (Juliana), Hojo Shin (Jiwon, who will appear more frequently as a series regular), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Joshua Lee (Jin), Sasha Bashin (Praveena), Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee), Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon), Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Han Bi Ryu (Eunice), and Sunny Oh (Mihee) have been confirmed.

Absent is Audrey Huynh, whose Season 2 character Stella was plotting Min Ho’s dad Mr. Moon’s (Philippe Lee) downfall. Her plans are ultimately thwarted, so it looks like her story ends there.

Some new characters will be added to the mix, however. Sule Thelwell will play Marius, Soy Kim will play Yisoo, and Christine Hwang will play Gigi. Their character descriptions are still under wraps.

Will Lana Condor return in XO, Kitty Season 3?

Lana Condor has previously mentioned that she would love to make a cameo in XO, Kitty, and it sadly hasn’t been able to come to fruition in the first two seasons. Maybe, the third time really is the charm? Here’s to hoping!

“I would definitely never say never [to returning],” she told The Wrap. “I mean, I think it’s pretty clear that I love the To All the Boys world and have dedicated a lot of my young adulthood to it. To me, that world feels like home.”

LJ’s boyfriend, Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo), popped up in Season 2 to spend some time with Kitty in Seoul. He’s still the perfect TV boyfriend! Kitty’s other older sister, Margot Covey (Janel Parrish), also made another visit to the show.

What happened at the end of XO, Kitty Season 2?

After making her grandmother (Ae Yon Han), known as halmoni in Korean, reunite with her sister, Kitty’s karma got rewarded by receiving the news that her heritage scholarship got renewed. That wasn’t all Kitty accomplished: She also somehow saved Min Ho’s family from a complete press disaster.

With all of the happiness, you might be thinking that the series has wrapped up nicely with all your questions answered. But there’s still a cliffhanger! Kitty finally realized her feelings for Min Ho, but instead of telling him, she went out on a limb and asked to join him on Joon Ho’s tour. Will these two finally get together in Season 3?! Talk about the ultimate slow burn!
